Chromatherapy is a popular feature in relaxing home spa environments. The Kohler/Philips WaterTile Ambient Rain is a 21” x 21” lighted ceiling panel that includes four Kohler WaterTile body sprays. The panel mounts in the ceiling of a custom home shower. The user selects either solid colors or a pre-programmed sequence of ‘light shows’, which can also be coordinated to music. The panel incorporates 44 LED modules that can produce a visually smooth light across the translucent panel. The Cooper Perkins design team successfully designed the product to withstand all of the environmental conditions expected in a shower environment. The product design activities started in January 2007 – manufacturing activities started in May 2007.
